Services & Fees

CPCS service fees depend on the experience level of the therapist attending to your needs.

More experienced therapists have a higher consultation fee. 

Note: Consultation is free for all HELP University students and staff members (excluding assessments).

Master's student under clinical supervision

Master's student under clinical supervision with minimum 260 hours of experience

Registered/Licensed therapist with minimum 2500 hours of professional experience

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

A one-to-one collaborative process between a client and therapist to work together in a safe and confidential environment to identify and explore client's personal issues. 

*The first session will be 1.5 hours and charged according to the therapist's hourly rate.

**The fee difference depends on the year of experience (i.e. 1-3 years experience at a lower price range, more than 3 years experience at a higher price range).

Couple/Family Therapy

A collaborative process between a couple/family and therapist to work together in a safe and confidential environment to explore and express difficult emotions and thoughts. It aims to help couples/families understand and explore issues within relationships, empathize with each other, as well as nurture useful changes in interactions. 

*The first session will be 2 hours and charged according to the therapist's hourly rate.

**The fee difference depends on the year of experience (i.e. 1-3 years experience at a lower price range, more than 3 years experience at a higher price range).

Couple or Family Therapy
Group Therapy

Group Therapy

Group therapy involves a group of people working with a therapist. Group therapy aims to offer a network and support system for a group of individuals that share similar concerns. 

All members of a group will be charged RM 50 per person per session. All group members will be expected to make payment in lump sum once the number of sessions needed is agreed.

Psychological Assessment

Note: can only be done by clinical psychologist/clinical psychology trainee

Psychological assessments are tests that are administered to help assess clients' functioning in various areas. Psychological assessments are also used to obtain information pertinent to diagnoses of mental health conditions. These tests may be used to assess the following areas:

  • Intellectual assessments 

  • Personality tests 

  • Neurocognitive assessments 

  • Behavioural/emotional assessments

  • Achievement tests 

The exact cost will depend on each client's individual needs. Generally, the price range is as follows (subject to changes/number of assessment(s) needed):

Therapist-in-Training: RM 1,000 - RM 1,500

Practitioner: RM 1,800 - RM 2,500
