Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing
I am a long-time advocate for mental health, with a particular focus on youth mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and the reduction of mental health stigma. Through this experience, I have witnessed the significant number of young people in my community who require support, as well as the challenges they face in accessing it due to barriers like stigma and long waitlists. My advocacy work and personal experiences with mental health have fueled my strong interest in providing support to those in need.
I have also participated in research on environmental psychology, exploring how natural environments influence well-being, promoting social behavior change for pro-environmental actions, and examining the connections between climate change, youth well-being, and sexual reproductive health rights.
As a trainee clinical psychologist, I approach my work with empathy and a genuine curiosity to hear your story. I aim to accompany you on your journey as we navigate your challenges together and work towards healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe space for you to share openly, maintaining a non-judgmental and authentic stance.
