My interest in therapy and mental health started in my early teens when I was struggling with depression. I sought help from my school counsellor, but I left feeling unnoticed and unheard. Coming from an unstable family background, this experience highlighted the importance of feeling recognized and understood. I carried that struggle alone for a long time.

Later, working with children became a pivotal moment for me. By nurturing my students, advocating for them, and collaborating with their families, I reconnected with my own inner child and began to heal in unexpected ways. My role as an educator made me realize my deep passion for supporting individuals, which guided me toward counselling.

Another significant moment was seeking therapy through HELP CPCS. The personal growth I experienced there was something I could not have achieved on my own. It demonstrated how transformative therapy can be when provided with respect, empathy, and care.  Today, my aim is to offer that same safe and compassionate space for others, so no one has to feel as unseen or alone as I once did.
