Hello, I’m Faris. To describe myself, I am genuine, calm, warm, and approachable. I strive to bring a non-judgmental presence to every conversation, understanding how important it can be to finally express things you may have felt uncertain or excluded about before.

My interest in counselling began from witnessing how profoundly people can struggle, particularly with substance abuse, loneliness, insecurity, relationships, confidence, and feelings of abandonment. I believe individuals often do their best to cope with pain in ways they know, even if those methods may no longer be beneficial. To me, counselling is about providing a space where you can gradually make sense of those experiences without feeling judged.

During sessions, I typically listen first to understand what you hope to achieve from counselling. Some individuals prefer a more structured approach, while others need a space that feels more flexible and conversational. I believe both can be beneficial, depending on the person.

Outside of counselling, I value humour, honesty, growth, and meaningful conversations. My hope is that when someone reads this, they feel, “Yeah, I think it’s alright to feel.”
