My aspiration to become a counsellor stemmed from a challenging experience during my second year at university, coinciding with the MCO period. After an incident of academic misconduct, I was required to attend counselling, feeling overwhelmed, ashamed, and solely focused on passing. As a struggling student, I made a poor choice by using a senior’s work. Facing the consequences taught me accountability, self-reflection, and resilience. More importantly, counselling revealed the power of compassion, understanding, and second chances.

I now aim to support others through mistakes, uncertainty, and growth, just as I was supported. My experience taught me that people are more than their worst decisions and that meaningful change often begins when someone feels heard rather than judged. During a time when I felt overwhelmed, lost, and defined by failure, counselling provided a safe space for reflection, taking responsibility, and rebuilding confidence. That guidance helped me regain direction and self-belief. As your counsellor, I hope to create the same environment of empathy, trust, and understanding for you, helping you navigate challenges, learn from setbacks, and move forward with resilience and hope.
