My challenges in maintaining friendships during my upbringing prompted me to consider how past experiences influence our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships with others. While people may come and go, it became clear to me that I must continue to live with myself. Thus, I embraced the belief that change starts from within—we can gradually alter our mindsets and habits to achieve our goals.
My journey has led me to live independently in a foreign country, spend years in a corporate environment that felt misaligned, and yet make the best of every situation. As Taylor Swift aptly puts it, “I can do it with a broken heart.” Collectively, these experiences have enriched my understanding of career transitions, work-life balance, and the difficulties of feeling sidetracked from the life you envisioned. I also appreciate the importance of integrating psychological work with personal beliefs and values, including faith when it holds significance.
I cannot claim to be successful just yet, but I can say that I am allowing myself to enjoy the journey. The beauty of being human lies in our resilience and adaptability, and I aspire to help you make the most of your own life as well.
