Salahaddin Pordel

Every person is a living book. A book with some of its chapters partly written for us, enough to give us something to work with. But ultimately it is our style of writing that shapes the story, our emotions, thoughts, and our decisions.

While some chapters may be darker than others and some brighter, there are no bad stories. There is only your story, my story, their stories… And the way I see therapy is simply as a light adjuster on your screen when you sit to read and write your own narrative.

Therapy doesn’t tell you how you should design or express your story but rather helps you see who you are and explores with you your ways to become who you want to be. I walk with you through chapters you wrote for yourself, chapters others wrote for you, and chapters you wrote for others, so you can see where you are in all that and where you would like to go.

I appreciate listening to your story the way you express it, in your own words and voice, with your own feelings and thoughts while helping you adjust your light to have enough clarity. There is no right or wrong, it is our perspective that makes it one. Write as if no one’s watching and read as if everybody will listen; yet, let us all write in light and read in light, so we always live our true story.
