Why did I decide to become a counsellor?

Many of us grew up feeling unheard, different, and ‘other’. We might process the world differently from our family and peers. Some of us might perceive the world through our emotions, and sometimes that is frowned upon.

There is nothing wrong with emotions, and there is nothing wrong with feeling so deeply. So, I naturally gravitated towards Counselling where it was finally okay to be me – and that is my goal for you, to guide you in discovering YOU.

To help you see that it is okay to be you, that it is okay to feel the way you do, and it is okay to be different, to be ‘other’. In your journey to self-discovery, I will be with you side by side, learning that there is joy after sadness, there is resilience within rejection, and there is healing after pain.

As a counsellor, it is my hope to provide you with a safe and nurturing space to be yourself, in all your nuances – accepting you for who you are and celebrating your strengths.
