About Me

Ever since I was helped by counsellors for my studying difficulties in school, I developed an interest in psychology. This interest had me question many things in my life such as how people experience their circumstances, how it affects them, how different people interpret things unique to their own perspective. My interest later developed into a desire to help others and inform them about the importance of good mental health.

 

I view counselling not just as a way to help people in need, but to also improve oneself. I believe that, when people are given the space to explore what’s on their mind, it allows them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and increases awareness of their strengths and capabilities. Counselling can help empower us to create the life we wish to lead.


As your counsellor, my desire is to help you explore your thoughts and emotions by providing you the space to understand yourself at your own pace. Making changes in our thinking and behaviour can feel daunting, and I will be happy to walk beside you as we work together to develop skills and strategies that help you thrive and flourish.

In my sessions, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand how their thoughts and emotions affect – and can change – their behaviour.
