My interest in mental health began as a student in my college days when I experienced firsthand received the benefits of therapy. Talking to someone helped me make sense of the things I was going through. Following my undergraduate programme, I taught in a school, working mainly with children of primary school age. As they confided in me, it reinforced the importance and value of having someone listening to their struggles. This experience fuelled my ambition to become a counsellor and help those who are struggling or at a point of transition in their lives.
From my own experience, I appreciate it can be difficult to make life changes, and it can sometimes feel like a daunting task – especially if you feel like you’re doing it alone. As your counsellor, it will be my privilege to work with you to bring about the changes you feel are needed to enrich your life.
